I’m completely diggin’ Discovery‘s Planet Green division. They have a fantastic section on transitioning to living simply, going green, and, at the same time, saving cash.

Get It Together

November 14th, 2006

The lovely ladies at Get Buttoned Up have created a reservoir of great information from how to tame car mess to how to have everything prepared in case of an emergency. While you’re there, check out there products because, c’mon, most of us could seriously use some help getting our shit together.

Travel Journal

November 14th, 2006

I love paper journals but, I’ll admit as most people might, I don’t keep one regularly anymore. With all the online journalling going on, it almost seems pointless to keep a paper journal. Then again, it also seems more favourable to go back to private journalling. Besides, everything that happens doesn’t always get told anyway.

Recording travels has also become so much easier with online journalling and portable computers. However, sometimes I don’t really feel like lugging around my laptop from place to place. When that happens, I like to use this travel log to record everything I see and experience, not just for personal satisfaction but its great for work too.

Unique Gift Ideas

November 13th, 2006

I like really clean looking lines, particularly in my kitchen. I tend to favour stainless steel appliances with a splash of colour here and there. My favourite thing about kitchens tend to be dishes and mugs – I am a girl who loves colourful mugs. I live in the Seattle area – and this just means I take my coffee and tea seriously.  Having said that, this Buddha Bowl has a great feel and design for things to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. Whether it be lattes, your morning cereal or even soup, this little guy would be a great addition to any kitchen.

These wall decals also caught my eye. I especially love the shape and form of the “fly” series. What a great way to dress up an apartment renter’s space without pissing off those lease people (or paying for and pulling out those paint cans if you don’t care about the lease people)!
