Geeking Out
Most of the people who know me will testify that I am a geek. If I have no errands to run, a day off work, and am in one of those moods where I simply want to waste away and feel absolutely no shame doing so, I WILL waste away being a gamer girl.
I love games.
I’ve loved games ever since my mother gave me my first Atari system for Christmas when I was a little girl. I graduated to a Nintendo and could play Mario Brothers/Super Mario Brothers for hours (and become increasingly frustrated when I couldn’t beat the “Dark World”). Most of the latter years of high school was sadly devoid of gaming and I didn’t have my own computer until I was in college. But once I did, I completely adored playing Quake 3 Arena online and actually got quite good at it! (And yes, I still play Quake 3 online). Offline, I can probably be found geeking out on the Xbox (and always mourning the death of my PSone) and fantasizing about the upcoming Xbox 360.
What started this entire ramble-fest? The fact that I know very few girls (I can count them on one hand) that would appreciate this beautiful piece of work.
What makes this Optimus keyboard so pretty? One of the last layout images (yes, you can program different layouts based on what program you’re currently using!) is a layout of Quake. After my heart, I tell you.
